Ahhh we can’t tell you how excited we are to share this Ibiza destination wedding with you all! There are just so many amazing highlights from photographing this wedding in Ibiza’s old town that we might split this beautiful wedding into two posts… this is part one, so stay tuned for more sunshine-filled images in the coming weeks.
Hollie and Hardeep got in touch early in 2018 to enquire about whether we were willing to travel to sunny Ibiza to photograph their destination wedding. We were super excited about it and of course said yes! Holly and Hardeep wanted their celebration to reflect both of their personalities and cultural identities so they had two celebrations, an English style wedding on the Friday and then a Sikh wedding on the Sunday.
They planned their English ceremony day perfectly with the help of Sonya from Ibiza Magic events. She is super organised and made sure everything ran smoothly and stress-free. Most of their family and friends stayed at Las Cicadas so they were relaxed and based locally for the weekend of celebrations. On the Friday, Hollie and Hardeep tied the knot in the Cathedral right at the top of Ibiza’s old town. As photographers, we had a lovely time absorbing the history and culture of this place and we feel that it is reflected in the wedding photos and videography.
The blooms and florals by Marbin Flowers were inspired by tropical landscapes - totally perfect for the sunny day and Ibiza setting. Their incredible wedding cake was three tiers of joy, topped with berries and figs and made by Cupcake Collection Ibiza.
It’s not often that we get blown away by a party but we certainly were at this wedding reception! Hollie, Hardeep and their guests partied late into the night with the amazing DJ Sam Totolee.
Hollie works in the fashion industry so she knew exactly what look she wanted and it showed. She designed her wedding dress herself and I’m sure you will be blown away with how perfect it is. Every detail reflected their personality so wonderfully; balancing the Boho elements while also keeping it super chic.
It is always an exciting and adventurous experience being destination wedding photographers. Being involved in a wedding so far from home can feel a little non-stop, but the welcome from the families here and the love between Hollie and Hardeep made us feel so included like we were guests ourselves.
…They had a second celebration which we will be sharing very soon!
