In-home Family Photography Session, Essex

January was such a busy month for us! Not too packed with photography sessions but certainly busy on the life side of things! We tried to get a grip on our tax returns (shout out to all the self-employed people out there…!) caught up on a lot of editing and then headed up to Scotland to show Rodney Brown all of our favourite dramatic landscapes. We also had an amazing weekend down in London, sightseeing and spending time with friends. Lots of love for Dishoom restaurants, especially late at night. Very lovely food! Taking a detour on our way back up north, we headed into the Essex area for an in-home family photography session with the lovely Baby family.

We had the privilege of documenting Jacques and Leonna’s wedding all the way back in March 2015 as our first ever (!) wedding. Then when their daughter Myla arrived we were able to capture this memory for them in a newborn photography session. We headed down to Essex to meet Myla aged six weeks old, the cutest baby we’d ever seen! Myla was kind enough to let us to capture our first ever family photoshoot.

Two years later, Zara was welcomed into the Baby family and we continued the tradition of capturing natural family photos. Zara turned out to have her sister’s skills in being equally camera curious!

Relaxed family photography is something that we really enjoy being a part of. It is so wonderful to have the opportunity to catch and preserve a moment in time. In-home family photo sessions really allow us to capture the personality of your family, in the place they feel most relaxed and at home.

The Essex and Southeast area is a place we always love visiting. Beautiful countryside mixed with cute villages and all at such a handy distance from London… always a pleasure. We will be back very soon, Essex.

We stayed a couple of hours with the Baby family, enjoying lots of laughs (thank you Jacques), catching up on what we’ve missed (Leonna), some tears (Myla) and a fair amount of chocolate Mini Eggs that got consumed (Myla again!).

We hope you enjoy browsing through some of our favourites from this family photography session down in Essex.

Islington Town Hall Autumn Wedding with a Pub Reception at The Peasant Pub - Charlotte and William.

What a perfect autumn day, London was showing off it’s tall shiny buildings next to it’s ancient crumbly ones in the October sunlight.

Charlotte and William chose the perfect day to wed. Charlotte chose to get ready at The Ned which was the most BEAUTIFUL 1920’s hotel. The decor was truly special, and we nearly got lost in the winding corridors about 5 times.

We walked into the hotel room and Charlottes Willoughby by Watters dress was hanging up, it really suited her and it suited a London city wedding, elegant and understated.

We were so happy to hear that the ceremony was taking place at Islington Town Hall as we had always seen images from ‘that corridor’ and we ticket it off the bucket list becoming Islington Town Hall wedding photographers for the day!

The blooms were supplied by Augustus Bloom with cute little Dahlias in oranges and yellows, the perfect compliment to the setting and The Peasant Pub wedding reception room.

It really was a perfect London city wedding and there were so many beautiful family moments, our personal favourite was Charlottes best friend and bridesmaid playing and singing the song for the couple’s first dance. Keep scrolling and enjoy!

Highgate, London Stoke Newington Town Hall and Star Pub Summer Wedding - Chloe + Ben

Remember the beautiful hot summer days? They seem a million miles away now the clocks have change and we are deep into Autumn. But this wedding will remind you of sunnier times. Chloe and Ben are such wonderful people, it was a pleasure to be there and document their London wedding.

When these two got in touch with us to discuss their Stoke Newington Town Hall wedding we were beyond excited as we have always dreamed of shooting a London town hall wedding, and to make things even better they told us the reception was going to be held in a London pub! Dreams really do come true.

Chloe wore the most perfect dress from HalfPenny London she looked absolutely amazing all day. They had their ceremony at Stoke Newington Town Hall and the pub reception at The Star Highgate.

There were countless heartwarming family moments including the couple’s grandparents being the witnesses to the marriage register being signed! Hope you enjoy looking through these beautiful memories.
