Modern, Greek, St Pancras International Hotel Wedding, London - Lisa + Stephanos.

“Thank you so much Eleanor and Nathan for being part of our special day! We still look at our pictures every day and admire how amazing you captured every step of the day. You were such a lovely couple and you made Steph and I feel so relaxed with you. We fell in love with your your natural style of photography and you didn’t let us down. We would recommend you to anyone that are looking for calm, friendly, creative and professional photographers. We hope you enjoyed being part of our special day as much as we appreciated you both being part of ours! Thank you for capturing our day so perfectly! We will treasure our photographs forever.”

We had been so excited to be involved as photographers in the wedding of Lisa and Steph. The minute we read their enquiry email and saw the words ‘Greek wedding’ we were keen… pair that with the venue being St Pancras Hotel in London - we were sold. We love a city wedding ceremony, especially a London wedding; there is something so vibrant and exciting about being right in the centre of a wonderful city. St Pancras itself is such an elegant and inspiring location, gothic architecture at its finest.

On the wedding day in early July, we visited Steph at his family home in Barnet, North London. It was a wonderful experience to be part of the traditional Greek wedding preparations on that morning, documenting and photographing those memories for the family to treasure.

Still in North London, only a few miles up the road, Lisa was getting ready with her mum and her bridesmaids. The girls were all so excited while they were getting prepped and there was such a lovely atmosphere that morning. In our opinion as wedding photographers, there’s nothing like an 80s power ballad sound track to get everyone excited for the day ahead!

Lisa chose a Suzanne Neville wedding dress, completely stunning. The skirt fell in beautiful and elegant pleats. See the photos below for the detail on her dress.  She made her dad cry when she revealed the dress, which we were happy to capture of course…!

We headed with the bride and her family to the little Greek church in Barnet itself. They had their ceremony and blessing and then walked through a shower of confetti… on a scale never before experienced by mankind! So. Much. Confetti! And so much fun.

Arriving at the St Pancras Hotel in central London was incredible. Such an iconic building and really beautiful in its attention to detail. We never imagined that we would get to document a wedding there as photographers! The contrast of the blue iron work with the Victorian red bricks were a perfect backdrop to capturing so many beautiful moments for Lisa and Steph. The natural light on a summer’s evening set a lovely tone and we hope they enjoy their photographs as much as we do.

The night ended with some wonderful Greek dancing. One thing we have learned from this wedding is… Greeks do it better!
